Scope Ring Adjustment

When using a measurement system that utilizes a sighting scope, the scope should generally be removed, wiped down, dried out, and properly stored in the case after each use. Sometimes the dovetail of the mounting rings can lock onto the rail and be difficult to remove. If this is the case, generally the stud of the tightening nut just needs to be pushed down a bit away from the scope. This will allow the stud to sit a little deeper in the groove of the Picatinny rail, without changing the alignment of the scope, while also making removal much easier and consistent.
